Take your bowling ball maintenance to the next level with the OrbitCup Grip. Designed for league and tournament bowlers, the Grip securely holds standard 5" foam-backed sanding pads, giving you a more comfortable and controlled way to refresh your ball’s surface by hand or with a spinner.

Whether you’re knocking down lane shine, refreshing surface between sessions, or making a surface adjustment in prep for a tournament, the Grip helps keep your sanding pad secure while allowing steady, even pressure across the ball.

  • Designed for 5" Foam-Backed Sanding Pads
  • Secure Pad Hold – Five hook-and-loop contact points help keep the sanding pad in place
  • Comfortable Open Handle – Easier to hold than a loose sanding pad
  • Use by Hand or With a Spinner – Great for at-home, league, or tournament surface maintenance
  • Compact & Durable – Easy to keep in your bowling bag with your maintenance gear
  • Grip was designed for 5" foam-backed sanding pads. Some 6" pads may work, but they are not the intended fit and will not use the full pad surface. For best performance, we recommend 5" foam-backed pads.

Keep your surface ready with the OrbitCup Grip — because every roll counts.

Resurfacing was a breeze with the Orbit Cup. I felt like the Wizard of Urethane after taking it back to its box finish.

The OrbitCup Grip works great for surfacing when used in tandem with the OrbitCup solo. It feels great in hand and there is no strain when using it. These are high quality 3D printed items. I have purchased other 3D printed items in the past from other sellers, and they just fell apart after minimal use. These have worked great and I now have a solid surfacing setup for Tournaments.

OrbitCup Grip

As I am recovering from ankle surgery I haven’t yet had a chance to use these products. That being said these appear exactly as advertised, and I love that the bearings on the spinner are covered.

OrbitCup Grip

Well made and works as advertised. Great product if you resurface your bowling balls yourself.

Love this product so much easier than the stabilizer pad through creating the difference company than you orbitcup

OrbitCup Grip

I have used it twice. I found the velcro is not strong enough to hold my CTD sanding pads if I apply any pressure. The pads curl up. When this happens, if the plastic disc is not removed from the ball immediately, the ball will be scratched. This caused me to have my ball resurfaced at my proshop...Although I purchased 3 of them, I am reluctant to use in the future...Because they are thinner than what is offered at Innovative (these are similar to automotive disc holders), more pressure is needed to hold them on the surface of the ball.

Store owner replied: Thank you for the feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your experience. OrbitCup Grip was designed with CTD pads in mind and has been tested specifically with them, so I’d like to better understand what happened here. The pad should stay attached during normal sanding pressure (hand and spinner), and I would not expect the plastic disc to contact the ball surface during proper use. Please reach out to me directly with photos or a short video showing the pad attached, how it is curling, and the amount of pressure being applied. I’d also like to know which CTD pad style/grit was used and whether the pad was new or previously used. I take product feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to look into this further.

Haven't used it yet, bow5season starts up again in September.

OrbitCup Grip

Great tool to use. Feels and looks like I’m definitely sanding evenly with the shape of the ball.
